Every year we gather in Newfoundland to both explore our surroundings and our bodies. This day-retreat offering is a movement and manual therapy based gathering designed for everyone needing a little annual maintenance for their body.
Classes:
We have 2 x 120-ish minute workshops scheduled for the day as follows:
– 9am: Active practice (more movement-focused)
– 3pm: Manual release practice (more self-massage based)
Both workshops will be considered full-body practices, so we’ll gradually explore our way through different areas of the body over the period of 2 hours. If you haven’t practiced with me before, just know that the movement practice is yoga-adjacent, so there’s some similarity there but also it’ll feel a bit different with some movement isolation thrown in amongst the rest.
Arrive at 8am or just after and we’ll have tea and coffee on the go – and it’ll be time for a little catch-up before we get rolling.
We’re planning to have a lunch together in between practices – a pot-luck style gathering. And then we’ll do the same for dinner! We just have to be out by 10pm.
Also in between lunch and the second workshop, the idea is to head out for a hike/walk of some description to get out in nature, weather permitting.
Consider it a little physical tune-up and a little social injection! We have 20 spots available.
